Anthem of the Seas Itineraries Adjusted
If you’re planning a sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas this summer, you’ll want to double check your itinerary.
This ship is experiencing propulsion issues with one of its engines and has been adjusting its itineraries and shortening port times for summer voyages. The itineraries impacted are upcoming sailings through Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
Anthem is no stranger to propulsion problems; the ship first started experiencing technical problems in 2017 and has recently had to shorten calls.
In other news, Mariner of the Seas has wrapped up its dry dock and started its transatlantic cruise back to Port Canaveral to resume service on April 6th.
Carnival Wins Awards in USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards
Carnival Cruise Line took home top honor of Best Ocean Cruise Line in USA Today’s latest 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Two Carnival ships also earned top spots: Horizon won Best Cruise Ship for Dining and Sunshine won Best Mid-Size Cruise Ship.
Nominations for the 10Best Awards were chosen by a panel of cruise industry experts, and voting took place online by USA Today readers.
The awards come on the heels of a major milestone for Carnival as it became the first cruise line to cross 100 million guests since it was founded.

Carnival Increasing Daily Gratuities Starting April 1st
Here’s your reminder that Carnival will be increasing its daily gratuities by $1.50 starting April 1st.
Standard staterooms will go from $14.50 per person, per day to $16. Suites will be going from $16.50 per day to $18.
The last time Carnival increased its gratuities was 11 months ago on May 1, 2022.
