MSC Christens Cruise Ship in Dubai

MSC Cruises christened its second ship in less than two weeks over the weekend. The MSC Virtuosa was named and christened by Italian actress Sophia Loren at a ceremony in Dubai on Saturday night.

The ship departed on a Gulf voyage on Sunday afternoon.

This was Sophia Loren’s 17th MSC Cruise ship that she has christened, her last being MSC Seashore at the line’s private island Ocean Cay on November 18.

Caribbean Princess Resumes Cruising

On Sunday, Caribbean Princess welcomed guests back onboard, marking the return to service of another Princess ship. 

The vessel is sailing on roundtrip voyages from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale to the tropical eastern and western Caribbean, visiting destinations such as St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Princess Cays. 

Caribbean Princess is the eight princess ship to return to service in 2021.

Celebrity Cruises Partners With Saks Fifth Avenue

And finally, if you’re spending any time in New York City this holiday season, you can see the new Celebrity Cruises display.

The cruise line partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue to have two windows displays. The displays showcase Eden, a venue on the back of the ship on all of the Edge-class ships, and Le Voyage, an upcoming restaurant on Celebrity Beyond.

The displays can be seen through January 1.
