St. Maarten Hosts Six Ships in One Day
Last week, St. Maarten saw six cruise ships in one day — the most the port has seen at once in 18 months.
They were Sky Princess, AIDAluna, AIDAdiva, Marella Discovery, Explorer of the Seas, and Jewel of the Seas.
The vessels docked at Philipsburg’s two cruise piers, and brought over 7,500 visitors to the island.
Princess Cancels More Voyages on Two Ships
Princess Cruises has canceled more voyages on two of its ships.
Crown Princess sailings through April 29, as well as Island Princess voyages through April 17 are now canceled. Passengers on affected voyages can transfer to a similar itinerary, receive a future cruise credit, or get a full refund.
The first cruise for Island Princess will now be a Panama Canal cruise on April 27, and Crown Princess won’t sail until May 7 on an Alaska trip.
Carnival Brand Ambassador Answers Cruise Questions
Carnival Cruise Line brand ambassador John Heald announced on his Facebook page that last week, the line slightly increased its onboard capacity.
He also revealed that Carnival’s pierside testing program for November has been extended through December — for vaccinated passengers by appointment only.
