Explora Journeys’ Spa & Fitness on Inaugural Cruise

MSC Group’s new luxury cruise line Explora Journeys has announced details on the wellness offerings that guests will be able to enjoy aboard its first vessel.

Ocean Wellness – The Spa

The Spa will mirror the gentle, hypnotic effect of the ocean. Over 7,500 square feet of space is dedicated to treatments and wellness facilities to help guests relax.

Explora I will feature 11 treatment rooms, including two private spa suites with their own outdoor relaxation area; one double and seven single treatment rooms; an additional treatment room dedicated to Medi Luxe Treatments by Dr. Levy Switzerland; and an outdoor space where guests can relax.

The Beauty Studio will offer hair and barber treatments as well as a nail salon.

The Spa will also include a thermal area with a hydrotherapy pool, steam room, Finnish sauna, salt cave, experience shower, ice fall, and heated marble loungers.

Ocean Wellness – Fitness

The saying ‘Healthy body, healthy mind’ originated in the first century AD. Today, science has gone further by proving that exercise is crucial to a strong immune system, lower stress levels, high self-esteem, a balanced mood, good sleep quality, and elevated energy. This knowledge is at the heart of the Ocean Wellness – Fitness ethos.

The fitness center features 2,443 square feet of indoor space and over 688 square feet of outdoor fitness facilities. It’ll also include a sports court, a running track, and touch tennis. Strength training, cardio, and Pilates in private sessions or group classes will also be offered.

The Fitness Centre will include modern Technogym Artis equipment, and the Fitness Studio will offer Technogym classes designed specifically for Explora Journeys.

Guests will also have the option of training in their suites, encouraged by a virtual coach through Technogym Bench — a strength-training station with enclosed tools, and Technogym Case Kit with QR code access to a digital library of guided video exercises with trainers.
