Statement from Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises issued a statement explaining, “Due to ongoing technical repairs, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the November 3 sailing of Regal Princess from Galveston.”
It read, “We understand how disappointing this is for our guests and are truly sorry for the disruption to their plans. We are providing full refunds along with a 25% Future Cruise Credit as a gesture of goodwill.”

Princess said the repairs will be completed soon, and they are optimistic that the November 10 cruise will depart as scheduled.
The Regal Princess recently repositioned to Galveston from Southampton, England, after a 33-day transatlantic journey earlier this month.
Technical issues on Regal Princess reportedly began during that voyage, which called at ports in Western Europe, Madeira, and the Caribbean before reaching Texas.
The seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary for the November 3 cruise, which was canceled, included stops in Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán Island.
The 3,600-passenger ship entered service in 2014.
