While national tributes were going on all around the country during the 10-year anniversary of 9/11/01, Carnival Cruise Lines paid their respects aboard all 23 ships. In New York City, Carnival Miracle delayed its departure from the harbor so passengers could pay tribute and see the nighttime dedication of the Ground Zero Memorial, which was two lights beaming in the sky where the Twin Towers once stood. A bagpiper was also on-board the Miracle to pay tribute throughout the day, too.
Cruise ships fleet wide had a moment of silence for the victims and the American flag was hung in every atrium of Carnival’s ships.
