Carnival Cruise Line’s 25th ship, Carnival Venezia, arrived in at her new homeport of Manhattan on early Tuesday morning.

Carnival will host a welcome ceremony on board the ship Wednesday evening with comedian and television host Jay Leno. Leno will become the first godfather named to a Carnival ship.
The ship, which previously belonged to Costa Cruises, was transferred to Carnival Cruise Line to roll out “Carnival Fun, Italian Style.” It’s so Italian there’s a real gondola from Italy in the after main dining room.

The ship has new-to-Carnival features mixed with some crowd favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, and Serenity. As the name implies, the ship is themed after Venice and is displayed throughout from when you first board.
Carnival Venezia includes new features like the addition of the Italian specialty restaurant Il Viaggio which is more of an authentic Italian venue. New bars include Rococó, Frizzante, Amari Bar, and others.
On Thursday, Carnival Venezia will mark its first departure from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, with guests set to embark on a four-day cruise visiting Bermuda.
