Virgin Voyages Takes Delivery of Resilient Lady

Sir Richard Branson’s cruise line Virgin Voyages has officially taken delivery of its third vessel, Resilient Lady. Built in Fincantieri’s shipyard in Italy, the 110,000 gross ton Resilient Lady marks the brand’s third completed vessel in the span of two years. 

Resilient Lady is scheduled to embark on her maiden voyage around the Greek Isles on next May. 93 percent of cabins have an ocean view, and 86 feature private balconies — each with a hammock.

Sister ships Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady are currently sailing out of PortMiami.

Disney Cruise Line Details Early 2024 Schedule

Disney Cruise Line revealed its early 2024 sailing schedule, which includes its first full season of voyages from Port Everglades, along with cruises from Port Canaveral, Texas, Louisiana, and California.

Disney Dream will begin early 2024 with a variety of voyages to the Bahamas and western Caribbean.

After returning from its inaugural season in Australia and New Zealand, Disney Wonder will arrive in San Diego, California in March 2024 for three to seven-night Mexico sailings.

Port Canaveral Welcomes Fourth Homeporting RCI Ship

Port Canaveral welcomed the fourth Royal Caribbean ship homeporting on the Space Coast, as Jewel of the Seas arrived for her 2022-2023 winter season. In keeping with tradition, port executives presented Jewel of the Seas’ Captain Trond Holm with a plaque commemorating the vessel’s first visit to Port Canaveral.

The 2004-built Jewel of the Seas will spend the winter season operating six and eight-night voyages from Port Canaveral to the eastern, western, and southern Caribbean, as well as the Bahamas. 

Jewel of the Seas joins three other Royal Caribbean International ships at Port Canaveral: Independence of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and the largest cruise ship in the world — Wonder of the Seas.
