Port Canaveral Celebrates Busiest Week Ever

Port Canaveral celebrated its busiest cruise passenger week ever earlier this month.

Last week, the port welcomed 107,000 passengers — the most in its history since Canaveral got into the cruise industry in 1964.

That’s the third week so far this year where the port welcomed over 100,000 travelers — the other two being the first week of July and spring break in March.

The record-breaking week included the official inaugural cruise of Disney’s newest ship, Disney Wish.

Holland America Lets Brand Ambassador Go

After three years, Holland America Line is saying goodbye to its brand ambassador Seth Wayne.

A goodbye post by Wayne on Facebook on Wednesday read, in part, “Due to a restructuring of positions at Holland America Line, this week marks my last as brand ambassador for Holland America Line… We’ve all created incredible memories before and after our pause in operations. And that’s all thanks to YOU!”

Seth joined Holland America in 2019 after a career in broadcast news. He was one of the voices that kept cruisers informed through the industry shutdown, often helping pass the time with virtual sailings and interactive games.

You can still keep in touch on his Facebook page, Sail with Seth.
