Royal Caribbean Announces World Cruise

Royal Caribbean is officially in the world cruise business. The line has announced its first-ever Ultimate World Cruise, which will be a 274-night journey that will visit over 150 destinations in 65 countries.

The voyage will set sail on December 10, 2023 from Miami aboard Serenade of the Seas, and conclude on September 10, 2024. In addition to taking the entire voyage, guests can also book one of four segments.

Prices for the full cruise start at $61,000 per person.

Rotterdam Departs on Maiden Voyage

Holland America’s new ship Rotterdam departed Wednesday on her 14-night inaugural voyage. The sailing is a transatlantic crossing from Amsterdam to Fort Lauderdale, and featured a ribbon-cutting to welcome the first guests on board.

Following this voyage, Rotterdam will spend the fall and winter sailing the Caribbean.

This vessel is the seventh in Holland America’s history to bear the name Rotterdam, named after the port city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Princess Cruises Guests Can Now Place Real-Time Sports Bets

Princess Cruises has officially entered into the sports betting business.

The first guest aboard Majestic Princess has placed a bet at sea using the line’s new Ocean Sportsbook technology.

The real-time connection allows passengers to bet on competitions like football, basketball, baseball, and hockey.

Ocean Sportsbook is part of Princess’ Ocean Casino, which allows guests to place wagers all around the ship on games including blackjack, poker, roulette, and more.
