Carnival Cruise Line announced today that one million of its cruise guests have now utilized the VeriFLY app, a secure and free smartphone application that allows vaccinated passengers to easily submit their health screening information.
“Helping one million people to simplify the process of starting their vacation is a great milestone to reach, but it’s no surprise the majority of our guests have taken to using VeriFLY so quickly. They see the benefit immediately as they save a significant amount of time at the port and get on board faster,” said Ron Dillehay, Carnival’s vice president of guest marketing and technology.
Since making the app available across the fleet in March, Carnival became the largest cruise line to implement VeriFLY. Other cruise lines that use it include Carnival’s sister line Holland America, as well as luxury line Viking.

VeriFLY is available in Apple’s App Store as well as Google Play for Android phones.
How does VeriFLY work? After downloading the app, guests can search for ‘Carnival Cruise Line’ and then complete the required steps. They are asked to submit required documentation, such as vaccination status and COVID-19 test results. When the process is complete, a VeriFLY pass is issued in the app to be presented during embarkation.
Carnival does not require that its guests use the app, but offers it as an option that helps expedite the embarkation process in the cruise terminal.
