Carnival Details New Itineraries, Including 30-Night Sailing

Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for the inaugural season of its upcoming ship Carnival Luminosa, and provided details on the vessel’s itineraries from Brisbane, Australia and Seattle, Washington.

Carnival Luminosa has been sailing as Costa Luminosa with another Carnival Corporation brand, Costa Cruises. The ship has been transferred to Carnival Cruise Line, and is now undergoing renovations to become part of the Carnival fleet.

Renovations include the addition of Carnival’s new blue, white, and red livery, as well as the Alchemy Bar, adults-only Serenity Retreat, Bonsai Sushi Express, Cloud 9 Spa, RedFrog Rum Bar, Punchliner Comedy Club, and more venues that will be familiar to Carnival fans.

Luminosa is part of the Spirit class, which includes Carnival Spirit, Pride, Legend, and Miracle.

Cruises From Brisbane

Carnival Luminosa will sail a variety of seasonal itineraries from Brisbane from November 6, 2022 to April 13, 2023. These include three and four-night Australia cruises, six and seven-night Great Barrier Reef and South Pacific sailings, and eight to 11-night voyages to destinations such as New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Guinea, and Fiji.

Next spring, the ship will offer a 22-night transpacific voyage to Seattle with stops in Tahiti and Polynesia.

Cruises From Seattle

This coming spring and summer, Carnival Luminosa will sail six to eight-night sailings to Alaska from Seattle. Port calls will include Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point.

Following her Alaska season, the ship will offer another transpacific cruise — this time a 30-night sailing back to Brisbane — with stops in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

Carnival Cruise Line will release more details about Luminosa‘s dry dock and renovations ahead of her debut in November.
